  • Do I need to be fit or experienced in the outdoors to join?
No trekking experience is required! If you've always wanted to try something like this, but never jumped in - you're our people. We've made this for you. If you have no idea how to pack for a trek, or what to do during - we will guide you every step of the way. Our pre trip video calls are designed to help you feel organized, even before you get on your flight. We have designed the trek so that there is plenty of time during the day for breaks, to take a rest from walking, to drink tea, to chat to the local doggo's and take in the beauty around you. You set your own pace, and we are your number one supporter every step of the way. We recommend you are in good health, and encourage you to be able to walk for a few hours as a good base level of fitness. We can provide guidance in the months leading up to the trek.
  • Will we see Mt. Everest on the trek?
You wont see Mount Everest, as our trek is based in the Annapurna region of the Himalayas. The Himalayas are so large that they span across 3 countries, and we've chosen our most favourite part to take you to. Why not Everest you ask? Trekking to the Everest region of the Himalayas involves a much longer trek, in much higher altitude and a huge degree of trekking difficulty and a large emphasis is on physical abilities. We wanted the focus of our experience not to be on the sheer physicality of the trek, but for it to be an opportunity to build community, learn and grow.
  • How many people will be on the trip?
We really value community. Connecting with each and every person on our expeditions is important to us, so we operate with a minimum of 6 people and a maximum of 12 people. This allows us to stay at some of the most beautiful, small, teahouses along the way, supporting the local villages. It also allows us to specifically tailor the trip to each groups needs.
  • Do I need to pay in full to secure my place?
We don't require full payment at the time of booking - just a small, 10% non refundable deposit to let us know you are committed and so we can begin organizing your expedition! We offer complete flexibility with payment. You let us know how often, and how much you can pay at a time, or pay the full amount whenever you like. As long as your final payment is made at least 60 days before the departure date, we don't mind the journey you take to get there.
  • What will the weather be like?
Our 2024 departures are in November & December, when the conditions are some of the most ideal! We chose this time due to the higher chance of clear skies, allowing for some of the clearest views. Mountain weather can be unpredictable, but as we don't trek far above 3,000m altitude - the weather should mostly remain clear and sunny. Rain is sometimes possible, but not likely. As Nepal is nearing into Winter at this time, the mornings and nights can be cold and fresh - so make sure you pack accordingly. No matter the season, a down jacket (supplied by us!) and your personal thermals are always recommended. Our packing list and pre trip video call will help to ensure you are fully prepared.
  • Will I have to carry all of my gear during the trek?
Absolutely not! You will take both an expedition duffle bag, and a day bag on the trek. You will carry your day bag on your back, packed with any items you might need to access during the day such as waterproof jacket, extra snacks, a beanie etc. We recommend this be a small, 15-25L day bag with a supportive harness, that will be lightweight and comfortable to carry for up to 6 hours. You will also be provided with a duffle bag, for all of the bits and bob's that you don't need during the day; such as your sleeping bag, warm jacket and spare clothing. We will guide you both before and during the trip as to what to pack for the trek specifically. We have partnered with a highly experienced, local provider that ethically employs staff from the local mountain villages. Our incredible porters carry one duffle bag each - in the traditional Nepali way, for the duration of the trek. Each night, your bag will be kindly placed in your room each night.
  • What gear will I need for the trek?
There are a few items that you will need to bring for the Trek itself. You will receive a full packing list after completing your booking enquiry with us. We do provide a few key items, meaning that you don't need to spend a lot of money on equipment just to come on the experience. We take care of providing your sleeping bag, duffle bag and down jacket (they are so warm!). The main personal items you will need to bring with you include worn in trekking boots, thermals and a small day bag.
